Directions
NOTICE- PLEASE STOP AND READ BEFORE USING:
DO NOT pour directly into the ear.
Discontinue use of medicated shampoos, topicals, wipes, or ear products (for use with ear) especially those containing SODIUM LAUREL SULFATE, CHLORAHEXIDINE, COAL TAR, and SALYCILIC ACID. If using medicated shampoos, topicals, or wipes with these ingredients, we recommend waiting 3-5 days from last use to apply our powder or paste and patch test to be safe. The powder and paste are non-toxic but too alkaline for chemically irritated skin and may cause a reaction.
Most commercially available shampoos have ingredients that dry out skin and impede healing. We recommend not using these.
Avoid using on areas of skin treated with topical flea medications including under flea collars. The pesticides in these products often irritate the skin; combining with powder may cause a reaction.
Some dogs with systemic yeast overgrowth may ooze after powder application. This is part of the normal healing process and will subside. Wipe the moisture and reapply fresh powder.
Many pets find relief within 1-3 days. For those on antibiotics and or steroids, or have otherwise been immune compromised, results and healing may take 1-2 weeks.
Daily Preventative Powder
Using the precision point gently apply powder in folds, tight areas, or through the coat down to the skin. You can also use your hand or grooming brush, to work the powder down to the skin.
Reapply daily to dissipate odor or prevent skin issues caused by pests that find your dog a perfect petri dish to inhabit.
If using as a remedy, leave on continuously, applying more as needed until completely healed.
Apply more often to areas prone to holding moisture like between paws, under legs, around genitals, in folds/wrinkles, and ears.
Ears: Gently flip the ear back to expose the affected area. Using your finger or a makeup brush, apply powder to fully cover the irritated skin. Do NOT pour powder directly into the ear.
Trouble Spot Drying Paste
Gently clean any dirt or debris from treatment area.
Flaky skin or scabs are ok. DO NOT pick off any existing scabs.
With one hand, gently push back fur so that the area is exposed. With the other hand, use fingers to apply a coating of the paste to the hotspot, cyst, wound, or area of concern as if spreading peanut butter on a piece of bread. Do not rub in.
Note: Try to avoid applying paste to fur. The paste is not harmful, though it will dry like a scab and require bathing or brushing to remove.
Paste will dry to a near white shell. It is also effective if thinned out with water or witch hazel. Some breeds have coats that need a thinner viscosity to stick to skin.
Avoid applying the paste into paws, on joints or in skin folds. The scab that forms is abrasive.
Allow at least 2 days for skin cells to knit together under its protection. Use a wet cloth or water to remove when needed.
Reapply as needed until skin is completely healed.
