If it’s on your skin, it’s in your bloodstream.

Let me tell you a secret: Coat Defense wasn’t developed for animals. It was developed for human skin – my skin. Nearly 20 years ago I was chronically ill. I had no energy and spent most of my days lying down. A doctor helped me understand that my body had the power to heal itself. He taught me how to support it by eating nutrient dense foods while eliminating toxic everyday products. I had to stop using conventional makeup and skincare products. The great news was that I felt better: and over time my health returned. The bad news was that I couldn’t find a deodorant that was effective. My husband, Vince, created an organic deodorant powder for me that worked! I started sharing it with friends. This led to a line of organic skincare products called Bausc.

In 2016 a horse owner called and requested that Bausc Cucumber Mint Deodorant Powder be available in an enormous container. Why? Because she’d used the powder on her horse to dry the sweat when it was too cold to hose her down. To her surprise, the powder made the mare’s rain rot fall off instantly! She had used every product available to keep her mare’s rain rot (a bacterial disease called dermatophilosis) from spreading, and nothing had worked. Our deodorant powder had done what prescription drugs and harsh chemicals couldn't do!

Vince and I worked together to test the powder on many other horses and found identical results. We created a paste that helps grooms heal scratches on horses’ legs. It’s also being used for hotspots on dogs, and to sooth and speed healing for bug bites and wounds on humans.

Unlike some of the alternatives, Coat Defense is entirely natural without any harsh or dangerous chemicals. Today, some of the country’s top riders, grooms, trainers and veterinarians use Coat Defense to speed healing and finally have something to prevent these common issues. We hope you’ll join us,too!

Sandy Polentes is a mother of four girls, as well as the Founder and President of the non-toxic skin care company, Bausc,Inc. She is very passionate about living a non-toxic life and spreading it to those around her.
