My fav so far!!!!! I LOVE this product!!! my baby had some really bad sweet itch, and after using the shampoo and cleaning her wounds, we used this day and night. It has taken away her itch and started to help with her hair growth. It’s amazing!!!

I like it but only issue is getting the paste to stay on the summer sore which is quite large and so much open tissue it doesn’t stick to the wound especially when they move or stomp their foot. We tried putting it on gauze pad and wrapping it but doesn’t dry it up enough. Had to resort to getting vet care. But I do like it on smaller sores and powder is nice to prevent skin issues. Hair growing back in bare spots.
Great stuff. I’ve used it for years. Fly season is just starting but I’m ready with the powder and soothing clay.
Amazing product worked within two days !
I like both the clay and the powder , but the containers are too small ! Because of the severity of my horse's sensitivity to culicoide saliva , I used both products up in 4 days. Bulk packaging with a better price would be helpful.
I love this product and have ordered it numerous times. It has solved the problem of scratches on my horse. I also use it on bug bites.
This product has been amazing for my mustangs who were struggling with itching and scratching their manes and tails right off. I tried some really great remedies, but to no avail, until I tried your product...THANK YOU SO MUCH! Our horses a feeling much better and looking better!

I thought my horse just really liked certain “sweet spots” itched. I sprinkled some of this on him and it turns out it must have been some irritant making him itch! He’s much happier now, this is great stuff!

Great product to use on my horse for sore spots. No hassle of bandages and tape. Easy to apply and reapply. Keeps flies off so sore can heal and helps keep it clean. Smells nice too. Will keep this on hand in the barn.
we have had so much weather .... snow ... rain.. mud that I have not had a chance to use the paste on the horse with the proud flesh on his fetlocks. BUT the horse with the Fecal Water Syndrome ( CONSTANTLY runny on butt cheeks and the backs of legs ) it has been WONDERFUL ! I have not had to hose off his cheeks, I can wipe with a towel and then put on the powder and its "dry" and soft and I LOVE IT !!
My horse has rain rot and it is too cold to give my horse a bath every day (Michigan winter). So we are using this powder for the rain rot and the rain rot is getting better! So glad someone recommended this product to me!
I have bought this product several times AND IT WORKS!!!! It works so well I've had it stolen from me twice at 2 different barns. Lol, soooo now I'm buying it again and keeping I t hidden. Once you've tried it you'll see what I mean. It's healed everything I've used it on. Even the sores from a trailering accident that Would not heal. This stuff did it. Just be sure you have a good hiding spot to keep it in. Lol
My mare had the worst case of scratches I’ve ever seen. I had been working with several vets and tried medicated soaps and several different meds that were only controlling the infection but not clearing it up. With 1….ONE!!!! Application of coat defense paste it was noticeably better. After 3 applications is essentially gone. And I hardly touched the amount in the tub. I’m so very grateful.
We fought scratches on my gelding for 3 months doing my vets recommend method and it didn’t clear up at all. One week after using Coat Defense and we saw visible improvement. Definitely will recommend to friends.
Our Ottb is always getting rain rot so I ordered Coat Defense powder and the paste. Within days his hair was starting to come back in and the scratches on his legs look great after using the paste! My vet said she had heard of Coat Defense from other customers and was going to try it out herself! I highly recommend it!
I am using this product on an Alpine Dairy Goat. The scraped itching oozing hairless areas are drying and healing rapidly. It is effective and smells good. Some goats want to eat it or lick it off, and there is no harm in that because of the all natural ingredients. Hurray for Coat Defense!!
My mare cut her leg that developed proud flesh. The wound was the size of my palm. I purchased the paste. I changed the dressing 3 times and tonight it was the maybe 2” long and 1/4” wide!!! I have never seen anything work so effectively with little effort.
Both my Belgian's had developed a bout of scratches due to the recent wet weather we had. I ordered the Cost Defense Heal and Prevent bundle and applied it as soon as it arrived. I was so pleased to see that after just a few days, the scabs on their feet were gone and now there is nothing but healthy, happy, pink skin. My only *complaint* is that the paste smells so good my horses kept trying to eat it out of the jar. LOL! Thank you for making a product that actually works, smells great and is easy to use.
My horse has a terrible problem with gnats for many years!!!The only thing that keeps it under control is coat defense. It’s a wonderful product! I use both the paste and the powder. The tip about thinning the paste a bit with witch hazel has been a great help. Thank you sooo much for this product!!!
My mustang will pull himself across the ground like a dog because his belly is itchy and he scrapes the hair off his midline. I slather this paste on his midline every day. It keeps the bugs off and heals his skin. I also use the powder on and in his ears...keeps them from itching so I don't have to put a fly mask on his ears now...Love these products. They do their job. I still have some left but will be ordering more so I never run out.
I have used the paste on everything from nicks and scrapes to nail holes in a hoof and thrush this helps draw out the bad and speed up the healing all while crating a protective and drying barrier. The powder is, well, a 4 season must have in the grooming bucket. It has cleaned up the most messy Marvin in the barn to helping relieve blanket itchies in the winter and drying and cleaning the wet paddock gross horses to be able to tack up for a ride with no worries. As we are packing for a long haul across the country with our horses these two items were a must have in the first aid and grooming in the trailer! I even donated this particular bundle to a Mustang trainer I know that has a horse with a bad wound that I knew this could help with. I believe in the product and promote it and pass it along whenever I can!
This stuff is a miracle in a jar. My boy is forever getting scrapes and cuts. He recently got through a couple of gates at the stables he is at. He was all cut up. Put the coat defense on (after of course cleansing up the cuts) and it healed so beautifully and well. Kept the flies off and he felt so soothed by the coat defense. Highly recommend this product !!! And customer service is fantastic, top shelf!
