Smells GREAT. I used the paste on my mares foot for recurring "scratches" and it seemed to get to sticky and then hurt when I was taking it off. But the powder seems to be helping
With consistent use over the past 2 weeks, Coat Defense Trouble Spot Drying Paste has almost completely healed my horse's scratches. This is amazing to me! I've owned her for 13 years and moderate to sometimes severe hind leg scratches are a condition that I have learned to manage (some weeks more successfully than others) throughout every spring and summer. I have used veterinary prescribed meds/management plans, varied home remedies, and combinations of each. The paste also seems to be soothing to her. Thank you!!
Working as expected and irritation has been kept under control.
We have limited need but I was so impressed with the powder on a rubbed tail on a mare that fell madly in love with a gelding, I got the paste for a large wart on another horse. All works so well as promised. The sun block, definatelythe powder and the paste.
My ‘new to me’ paint horse was showing signs of rain rot along his top line and hips. I noticed thinning hair, small, scabby bumps and what can only be described as random pock marks in his coat. After applying Coat Defense just a couple of times I saw definite improvement. It’s super easy to apply - I use the same, soft rubber ‘scrubber’ that I would apply shampoo with. I simply - and softly - work the dry powder down to his skin … and that’s it - walk away! It smells great too. Double thumbs up👍🏻👍🏻.
I recently acquired an older mare that was covered head to tail in rain rot. Poor girl, most of her coat consisted of little patches and tufts of hair, and she was so scabby. A month later, the scabs are gone and the hair is coming back. Several others in my boarding barn have used your products, so I thought I'd give them a try. Glad I did!

During the summer, my thoroughbred's skin suffers in the Texas heat and sun. You name it, he gets it. Nicks, rain rot, cannon crud, sweet itch, etc. Coat Defense products have made a huge difference. I use the powder constantly - under his pad during a ride, to calm sweet itch, and to get rid of rain rot and cannon crud. The paste is great for all his little nicks and scratches. I especially like that the products contain natural elements and not a bunch of chemicals.

I use the horse packaging, but on my dog for the increase in size and price difference .. I do take note the difference in the instructions for the dog applications. Thank you to the company for informing me on this option!

The paste worked really well on a sore under my horses shoulder. And smells great!
I used the Coat Defense drying paste on some nasty mud fever sores on my horse's heel. After several days the scabs began to drop off. The sores all healed up soon after. Since it has been healed, I use the Coat Defense powder on his heels when it is especially wet outside.
White horse with sweet itch. The ventral lesion has gotten bigger the last 2 summers. 1 week of coat defense and hair is growing back. I am sooo impressed.
Happy with the products they seemed to work well and they’re a pleasant smell for the humans. Grateful they aren’t toxic too!

Our horse arrived to us with terrible rain rot, and this seemed to heal it extremely quickly and prevent it from getting worse despite living in a very humid region. Used the paste on an insect bite and was much better the next day. Great stuff!! Will continue to purchase.
It would be perfect if I had received the applicator tip on the powder. Any chance I can get one?
