I love Coat Defense preventative powder & cannot be without it. This powder keeps my horse clean & dry under her sheet & blanket as she needs them in the seasonal weather. Daily application to her pasterns also helps prevent those pesky scratches. The happy herd bundle is perfect!

Can’t live without it! Perfect under horse sheets and blankets or on their butt and tail when they get itchy. Also use on my dogs and a tinch in their ears once in a while and use on my feet. Love it!!

My horse and his pasture-mate have both recently had pretty bad bouts of rain-rot and we finally got it cleared up. Using Coat Defense powder daily (especially before and after rides) to keep it at bay. So far so good, thanks so much Coat Defense!!
I’ve been using this product for a few years, now. It really helps keep rain rot from taking hold. It is great for drying trouble spots, as well as sweaty areas after rides in cold weather. I’m glad there’s finally a refill. I was buying the large canisters (no longer available). The smaller bottles can be refilled but the “refillable” bottle has a larger mouth. The smaller bottle is definitely easier to store in my grooming tote than the large canister. Application is easy and can be used as a dry shampoo.
Healed some nasty rain rot and we use it daily all over my gelding’s body to keep it from coming back. Love this stuff, grateful for the refill pack!
I live in hot,humid, buggy Florida. Since I started using this product, my horse is so much more comfortable. He used to itch so bad he’d bleed. Thankfully, we had no open sores this season. I apply it to him everyday. Thank you!
Every spring I would have to have my horse injected with Dexamethasone ,because he was so allergic to apparently everything. Especially bad was his mane , neck and tail . Since using Coat Defense I no longer have to do so. I am thrilled with this is product ,I will not be without it.
This product is awesome for any kind of funk! I have a sensitive white and sorrel tobiano mare that had a compounding problem involving rain rot, insect allergy, and photosensitivity; Coat Defense was the only product that both soothed and treated the fungal attack. I now keep it on hand for all my horses to stay ahead of any developing skin issues!
My gypsy vanner cross gelding developed sweet itch over the past summer. Ruined his name and tail. Nothing helped with the constant itching. Decided to give this product a try and am so happy I did! I sprinkle it over his mane and tail twice a day. So far no itching! Hopefully it will get us through this coming bug season without having to resort to steroids. I definitely will continue to use this product.
This product has helped my mini keep her hair this summer, however, it did bleach her coat. She was a dark Gruella before I used this product on her, and she's now the color of burnt wood. But she's not itchy and that's what matters.
